Preservative Booster
Description of preservative booster: preservative boosters improve the effectiveness of natural or synthetic preservatives - active ingredients that prevent the degradation by microbial growth. A preservative booster can function as a stabilizer, or a surfactant, and betters the diffusion of the preservative actives. In doing so, more opportunities for finding an ideal preservative or preservative combination arise. Using a preservative booster makes it possible to use greener, more ecofriendly or natural preservatives, which would not work as well on their own, or a lower quantity of traditional preservatives. Overall, using preservative boosters results in a prolonged shelf life, and improved product safety. An example of a preservative booster is Glutamate TDA30.
