What is broccoli seed oil? Broccoli Seed Oil is an oil extracted from the seeds of the Brassica Oleracea Italica (broccoli) plants. The cold press production of our broccoli seed oil is a nice example of upcycling and recycling without wasting precious materials. Broccoli seed is normally used to grow broccoli sprouts and broccoli plants. Only seeds which do not sprout, which used to be wasted are used for the cold pressing. The cold pressing results in broccoli seed oil and broccoli press cake. The cake which remains after pressing is ground and used as exfoliant or as flour. The cold pressing production method ensures that a high percentage of the nutrients remain in the broccoli seed oil. Our broccoli seed oil does not contain preservatives and is 100% natural.

Preservidant IDP is a paraben free preservative system that is easy to work with and ensures effective coverage over a broad pH range of 3-9. Soluble in propylene glycol, glycerine, freely soluble in alcohol and soluble in water up to 3%, Preservidant IDP is effective against Gram-negative bacteria, Gram-positive bacteria, yeasts and molds. This system is typically used for rinse off applications and due to its low use level is suitable for difficult-to-preserve cosmetics. With correct use, Preservidant IDP does not effect color, odor or viscosity of the finished product. It is a clear, colorless liquid with mild odor.

Betaine CP38 is around 25% more concentrated than typical grades of this material which makes it hostile to microbial growth, eliminating the need for a preservative. Betaine CP38 is a high active grade of cocamidopropyl betaine made from a low odour and low colour feedstock. It is stable and efficacious over a broad pH spectrum and is suitable for cationic and anionic surfactants, plus it is readily biodegradable.
