Bakuchiol is a phenol-like substance which is derived from bakuchiol seeds, mainly from the Psoralea corylifolia plant. The powder is a bio-based powerful anti-oxidant with anti-aging, anti-acne and antibacterial properties. Bakuchiol finds its application mainly in decorative cosmetics and skin care, and primarily in creams, oils and emulsions. The effects are similar to those of retinol (vitamin A), however in light conditions, stability of bakuchiol is even better. Due to lower risk of skin irritation, Bakuchiol is a good alternative for all skin types, especially sensitive skin. It has a shelf life of 36 months.
