Different subtypes of UV-radiation can be distinguished: UV-A and UV-B. UV-A is associated with skin aging and has a longer wavelength. Chemicals with UV-A protective properties are used in formulations in various Personal care products. This is especially so in skin care products, such as anti-aging facial care products.
